Eyedaptic, a developer of wearable vision technology, has launched Eye7, the latest generation of its smart glasses to include an artificial intelligence (AI) visual assistant. The devices are designed to provide real-time visual enhancement for people with retinal diseases, enabling improved object recognition, text reading, and environmental interaction.
The EYE7 integrates ergonomic design with visual acuity and contrast enhancements, offering individualized visual modes. The platform includes Eyedaptic’s AI assistant Ivy, which leverages web-based search and external knowledge sources for expanded context. A new assistant, Eva, is available through an early access beta program and provides optimized core AI functionality focused on fast, conversational, hands-free interaction. The AI assistants are remotely upgradable, allowing new features to be delivered via software updates without requiring hardware replacement. RP
