Hi, I’m Barry Kuppermann, MD, PhD, president of the Retina World Congress. I’d like to welcome you all and encourage you to come join us at our annual meeting coming up May 14 to 17 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel—the old stomping ground for many of us from ARVO back in the day, before it started going all over the country.
It’s a wonderful meeting, very international—the most international of all the meetings held in the United States. Very strong American and international faculty. We cover all topics in retina: medical and surgical, panels, case presentations, surgical videos. We also present the science and clinical trial data. Everything that you could hope for in a meeting, in an incredible setting on the beach at Fort Lauderdale, at the Merritt Harbor Beach Hotel. Really, it’s the highlight of the year for many of us.
It’s a casual meeting, so please feel free to wear your Hawaiian shirt. We’re looking forward to seeing you there. RP
